How to use Text to Speech for Chromebooks(built-in screen reader):

1. At the bottom right, select the time
2. Select Settings and then Accessibility.
3. Under "Text-to-Speech," turn on ChromeVox. 
4. Highlight the text to be read.
5. Press the Search Key + s

How to use Text to Speech in Chrome:

Many of these products are free to use; see individual product overviews and terms of agreements. We have heard that these have worked with our products Voice Instead, Select and Speak (Speakit), and Read Aloud.

1. In the textbook highlight what you want read.
2. Right click and then select Read aloud selected text. (The image below is from using the Read Aloud extension.)
   

How to use Text to Speech in Safari on a Mac:

1. Open System Preferences, select Accessibility, and then Speech.
2. Select the "Speak selected text when the key is pressed" checkbox.
3. Select the text you want to hear and press the key combination  to have your Mac start speaking. Press the key combination again to stop the text to speech. 

How to use Text to Speech in iPad/iPhone:

1. Go to Settings, select Accessibility, and then Spoken Content.
2. Turn on any of the features you want. 
3. Depending on the features you turn on will depend on how the text is read to you.
