Schoology: How to Add Textbook Content into a Course from Groups

Tasks to complete in advance:

  • Import the cartridge (.imscc) file into your Schoology Resources
  • Add G-W content into a Group created for Instructors

Steps to Add Textbook Content into a Course from Schoology Groups

  1. After logging into Schoology, select the Groups tab.

     
  2. Select a specific Group.

     
  3. On the left-hand side of the screen, select Resources.

     
  4. There are multiple ways to add course content; choose Option 1 or Option 2 below.

    Option 1: Select textbook content with checkboxes (not all instructors will have checkboxes available).


    a)  An instructor may decide to add all textbook content at once by selecting the checkbox next to Title which selects all folders. OR…
    b)  An instructor may select one or more folders at a time by only checking inside the checkboxes of those corresponding folders.
    c)  Select the drop-down menu next to Edit and select Add to Course.
    d)  Select a specific course to which you would like to add textbook content.
    e)  A new window will appear. Select Import.

    Option 2: Add textbook content one chapter at a time through the Gear icon.


    a)  Next to the Resources folder, select the Gear icon and select Add to Course.
    b)  Select the checkbox next to a specific course and select Add.
     
  5. Now an Instructor will see the textbook content that has been transferred into their course.
