How to Convert a CCL Sample Cartridge to a CCL Purchased Cartridge in Brightspace/D2L

Since the Common Cartridge previously provided was a sample, it does not allow for the appropriate number of students and instructors to activate subscriptions for the duration of the contract. To update the cartridge, you or your systems administrator will need to update the activation links within the course with the new URLs as indicated below.

1. Log in to your D2L account and select a course. 
2. Select Course Tools and then Course Admin.
   
3. Under Site Resources, select External Learning Tools.
   
4. Make sure Manage External Learning Tool Links is selected.
   
5. Next to INSTRUCTOR-Activate Your Subscription, select the drop-down arrow and select Edit Link.
   
6. Delete the current URL. (This is the URL for the sample cartridge instructor activations.)
   
7. Replace the current URL with the URL sent via email from G-W Support upon purchase of the Full Access cartridge under Link Name: INSTRUCTOR-Activate Your Subscription.
   
8. Once the new link has been pasted into the URL field below, select the Save and Close button.
    
9. Next to Activate Your Subscription, select the drop-down arrow and select Edit Link.
   
10. Delete the current URL. (This is the URL for the sample cartridge student activations.)
    
11. Replace the current URL with the URL sent via email from G-W Support upon purchase of the Full Access cartridge under Link Name: Activate Your Subscription.
    
12. Once the new link has been pasted into the URL field below, select the Save and Close button.
    
13. Now instructors can activate their subscription and be sure to Publish the Activate Your Subscription for students to activate their subscription.
